A covenant is a promise God makes with man.

First is the Adamic covenant. Genisis 1:26-30, Genisis 2:16-17, Genisis 3:15-16. Be fruitful and multiply. Fulfill the earth and subdue it. Stewardship is the process to achieve blessing. We have a responsibility to stay away from sin. Covenant requires choice. Adam and Eve did not keep their end of the covenant. God restores us. Pain is part of the covenant. Covenant is about redemption. God wants to bring us back to dominion of the earth.

Second is the Noahic covenant. Genisis 6:9-18. Noah found grace with God, "perfect in his generation..."
